Situated midway between Johannesburg & Durban, the Grey Goose is an ideal venue for conferences or as a stop over point for the long trip to and from the coast. Experience peace & tranquillity with geese roaming around the landscaped gardens and enjoy the many facilities that Newcastle has to offer.

The farm has been game fenced and Blesbok, Rietbok and Zebras are roaming the fields surrounding the lodge.

The Grey Goose is also proud to have a fully licensed ala Carte restaurant, GOOSEBERRIES, that is open to the public.

The Grey Goose boasts thirty one en-suite rooms, individually furnished, an provide every necessary facility to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

All our rooms consist of either a double- or two single beds and a TV with SABC 1, 2, 3, Mnet, Movie Magic and Supersport.

All accommodation rates include a full breakfast served from 6:30am to 10:00 am every morning. Our fully licensed restaurant also caters for all your meal requirements, dinner and lunch.

Restaurant

Our ala carte restaurant is open from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays we serve a buffet lunch at R95 per person. The restaurant is close on Sunday evenings.

Equestrian Centre

Trail rides

We offer scenic rides on our lovely game farm, stocked with some amazing large and small game. Trail rides are 1 or 2 hour rides on experienced and trustworthy horses and ponies, over various terrains. (We cater for all levels of riding.) We have horses to suit everyone, including slow ponies for lively youngsters. These rides are daily as well as on Holidays.

Special packages can be arranged for special days (e.g. Valentines-ride – Enjoy a picnic under lovely vine tree next to river).

Lessons

Horse riding lessons for young and old on experienced school ponies and horses. Lessons weekdays, from Monday – Thursday.

Stabling

We offer you the opportunity to own a horse, and we will care for your horse as if it was our own. We have different structures to cater to everyone’s pocket.

Our facilities include;

· Lovely grass Jumping arena,

· Sand Dressage arena,

· Lunge ring,

· Barn style stabling,

· Private paddocks and

· Scenic outrides.

Our grooms are loving and have years of experience. We have training shows and clinics monthly.

Weddings and Functions

The Grey Goose offers four well-situated function areas that cater for any function, conference or wedding big and small. Our function hall opens up into our original function hall and breakfast area, this hall can seat up to 450 people. It has it's own bar, toilets, lounge and a lovely open-air deck. It is fully air-conditioned with a great view of the mountains and its beautiful surroundings.

A very popular little area is our gazebo next to the swimming pool. Ideal for wedding ceremonies and small, private functions. Seats 120 people cinema style.

The conference room is air conditioned and fully equipped with screen, overhead projector, flipcharts, and a data-projector (available at an extra cost). This area can be used for any conference, business meeting or private functions. Seats 100 cinema style.

The "old" function room / breakfast area can still be utilized and seats up to a 150 people cinema style.
