Accommodation ranges from spacious, interleading family rooms to private
honeymoon rooms. The exclusive Presidential suite offers the ultimate in
luxury accommodation boasting electric curtains, a fire place, FULL DSTV,
two televisions, spa bath, steam shower and airconditioning.
An exclusive conference favility offers multi-variable seating for up to
200 delegates in a choice of 5 venues. The charming stone-and-thatch chapel

Accommodation at Cathedral Peak Hotel
DELUXE FAMILY THATCHED ROOM
These open-plan thatched rooms are ideally situated in the beautiful hotel gardens
and can accommodate three or four guests. Each en-suite room offers television,
telephone, fan, heater, tea / coffee making facilities, a mini-bar fridge (stocked
on request) and a double bed and sleeper couch.
DELUXE ROOM
These very spacious and comfortable rooms are ideally situated in the hotel's
beautiful gardens. Each room has an en-suite bathroom, tea / coffee making facilities,
television, fan, heater, telephone and private veranda.
DELUXE INTER-LEADING ROOM
These spacious rooms are able to accommodate up to four guests in either twin
or double beds. The suite comprises two comfortable double rooms separated by
a glass cottage-pane sliding door and curtain. The first room is en-suite, both
rooms have a television and the second room leads out onto the private veranda.
Each room has tea/coffee making facilities, fan, heater and telephone.
SUPERIOR ROOM
These newly constructed and very elegant rooms accommodate two guests in either
twin or double beds. Each room has an en-suite bathroom, tea / coffee making
facilities, mini-bar fridge, flat-screen television, under-floor heating, telephone
and private veranda. Adjacent rooms have an inter-leading door for family requirements.
EXECUTIVE HONEYMOON ROOM
No children permitted and a maximum of two adults. The well-appointed thatched
honeymoon / executive rooms are set apart from the rest of the hotel in secluded
gardens. Each room has been re-furbished this year to enhance its appeal and
create a luxurious, intimate ambiance. These rooms all boast a king-sized bed,
LCD television, telephone, stocked mini bar fridge, electric fireplace, under
floor heating, spa bath, and private veranda with breathtaking mountain views.
PRESIDENTIAL SUITE
No children permitted and a maximum of two adults. The exclusive Mponjwane Presidential
Suite offers the ultimate in luxury accommodation boasting a gas fireplace, spa
bath, steam bath, under floor heating, two televisions with full DSTV, air conditioning
and electric curtains opening onto a private veranda with spectacular mountain
views. Guests are also provided with a golf cart for their exclusive use for
the duration of their stay.
Cathedral Peak Hotel Facilities
The elegant dining room offers an extensive buffet, and superb cuisine, personally
supervised by the hotel's top class chef. The late-night Harry's Bar provides
a warm informal atmosphere to drink with friends or play a game of pool or darts.

Conferences at Cathedral Peak Hotel
Our unique and fully equipped conference center, offering various seating configurations
for up to 200 delegates, is designed to cater for a wide variety of needs from
large seminars to smaller management meetings. Resident conference co-ordinators
assist with every aspect of organisation and supporting arrangements to ensure
a successful and memorable conference. The three main rooms, Cathedral, Ndedema
and Nyosi, have moveable partitions that enable them to be arranged in various

Hiking trails at Cathedral Peak
- Blue Pool and Nyosi Grotto
A easy 2 hrs or 5.5 kms hike
A short hike in the Cathedral Peak area, starting from the hotel and following
the Nyosi River southwards.
- Cathedral Peak Hike
An extreme 6 to 7 hrs hike - 10km.
A long arduous hike requiring a high level of fitness. Starts from Cathedral
Peak Hotel, up the path to the Cathedral Ridge. Rock scrambling is often
necessary due to rock slides on the gully below the peak.
- Ganabu Ridge and Baboon Rock
A severe 6 hr hike(15kms)
The hike starts on the Cathedral Peak route and then branches off to the
right, going down into the Nxwaye valley, up the Ganabu Ridge and down
Baboon Rock.
- Mlambonja Pass to Twins Cave
A severe 6-8 hrs hike (11 kms)
From Cathedral Peak Hotel the path follows the river past the trout hatchery
and up to the top of the little berg above the mlambonja river. The pass
is consistently very steep and long.
- Oqalweni Forest Walk
An easy 2 hrs hike (5.5 kms)
This route is ideal for hikers who prefer secluded outings. It starts from
the Cathedral Peak Hotel, past the trout hatchery and along the Oqalweni
River to a waterfall and pool.
- Oqalweni Valley
A moderate 5 hrs hike (16.5 kms)
This hike gives you a grand tour of the valley. The path passes through
a number of habitats. It starts at the Cathedral Peak path past Shermans
Cave, but takes the left fork of the contour path around the top of the
Oqalweni Valley and back down one tree hill.
- Rainbow Gorge
A fair 2 hrs hike (5.5 kms)
This is probably one of the most picturesque hikes in the area. From the
hotel skirt the base of Tryme Hill westwards, then eastwards on the path
into the gorge. Once in the gorge itself the path follows the river.
