Currys Post - Natal Midlands

Curry's Post is part of the Midlands meander and is located, North East of the N3.

Curry's Post is situated in the Natal Midlands and is part of the Midlands meander. Currys Post is located, North East of the N3. Currys Post derives its name from the Curry family who settled and established an overnight wagon and cart stop.

The Curry's Post region is steeped in history with strong evidence, such as remnants of hunting camps and stone age tools, revealing that the region, although at a fairly high altitude was settled in Stone Age times.

The main route between Pietermaritzburg and the interior ran through the area now known as Curry's Post, but with the construction of the R103 and thereafter the N3, the Curry's Post road became a route which only serves the farming community in the area.
